I am not hiding any secrets . I am obsessed with Hotels especially their interior, I could surf the Internet and plan my travels for hours. I am a cappuccino addict and I can’t live without my to do lists.

We’ve seen MarMarLand blowing up on the Instagram accounts of interior design darlings like LiveLoudGirl and with good reason. This entirely online furniture destination revolves around helping you create dream homes for the kiddos, with chic curated items to step the kiddos rooms up a notch. Maren Gerber is the Dubai-based mum behind the hottest new kids e-tailer, MarMarLand. Her and her husband have lived in Dubai since 2014 with their daughter, Marleni (3) and son, Marnus (14m).
They’ve been expats for over a decade with previous stints in the UAE and Singapore previous. Maren’s professional background is a bit less glam, but who better than an ex-Operations Manager to set-up a business with such heavy logistical demands.
“I have always been interested in interior design. I love to have nice things around me. My style used to be very minimalistic but of course with little toddlers running around, I had to do a few changes to our interior but I refused to put ugly, plastic, “made in China” toys in my living room or teddy bear and princess bedding in my kid’s rooms. So I started to search for products, which are stylish, of high quality, preferably organic and fun for kids and adults. I found lots of amazing brands but they were not available in the UAE. …So I took matters in to my own hands and decided to bring these products to the UAE myself.” - Maren

Founded by UAE-resident mum, Maren, MarMarLand is a chic new sweet-spot on the net.
The site aims to “help create dream homes for babies and kids; places to read endless books, play with dearly beloved toys, romp -around with a horde of friends or to cuddle with mum and dad night by night, places to stimulate children’s fantasy and to make bedtime fun time.”
MarmarLand.com has brought lots of lust-worthy brands from around the world to the region’s mums finger-tips. The products are quality-tested, stylish and in many cases very hard to come by anywhere else in the UAE.
I think it’s especially great for babies and young kids and first resort for gifts and design-lead items (like a snazzy muslin or pram blanket that’ll be seen by everyone out and about). It’s very strong on soft furnishings and I love the baskets and rugs available.

Behind the scenes at Live Loud Girl it couldn't have been busier though with lots of awesome collaborations and styling projects which will be on the blog in the next few weeks.

My lovelies, I’m back!
As you might have gathered, I’ve been on a little blogging vacay whilst at home in South Africa for three weeks. I made a rather impromptu decision to fly to Cape Town to surprise one of my besties for her 40th birthday party. With the kids Easter break thrown in, my quick trip turned into a rather lovely and lengthly holiday. We moved around a bit between the Cape and my home province, KwaZulu Natal – it was really good to show the kids new parts of their homeland and we were spoilt rotten with glorious weather from start to finish. My Instagram was flooded with blue skies and beautiful vistas for a while there.
It’s good to be back in Dubai and I can hardly believe that it’s already Thursday! Yeah baby.
Speaking of babies… and kids, small and large… have you heard of MarMarLand? It’s a new-ish online store that’s packed full of brilliant goodies from room decor and accessories to baby essentials and kids party supplies. The shop, founded by Maren Gerber, showcases some great brands, including sone of my personal favourites – Ferm Living, Rice and The Birds and The Bees.
